National Animal Poison Control Center
The National Animal Poison Control Center is a division of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). This website contains information on its 24-hour veterinary poison hotline, and the prevention and treatment of pet poisoning.


National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians (NASPHV)
The NASPHV website contains the Rabies, Psittacosis, and Animals in Public Settings Compendiums along with the following two new documents:  Compendium of Veterinary Standard Precautions: Zoonotic Disease Prevention in Veterinary Personnel and the Model Infection Control Plan for Veterinary Practices, 2006.

VNN logoThe Veterinary News Network
VNN is a national network of veterinarians and selected affiliate reporters who use VNN produced resources to broadcast local news stories about current issues and advances in animal medicine. The network provides a highly professional source of newsworthy television, radio and print stories for use by our reporters. Only two types of reporters may qualify to receive VNN materials.  Our first priority is Doctors of Veterinary Medicine who have, or wish to have, positions as specialty reporters in a local media outlet. These veterinary reporters are the core of the network and have responsibility to the public, the media and the veterinary community.  Secondly, existing medical and specialty reporters may apply for a position as an affiliate reporter within the network.
