2010 Winter Seminar Vacation to Barbados
February 6 - 12 or 13, 2010
Almond Beach Village, Barbados
2 additional rooms are available after the trip was previously sold out. Sign up today!
The five-star All-Inclusive Almond Beach Village Resort located on the Caribbean coast of Barbados will be the site of the 2010 PVMA Winter Seminar Vacation. A wonderful place to bring your family and friends just when the winter is coldest at home, Barbados has it all: pristine beaches, great fishing, champion golf courses, horseback riding, nature tours, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and much more. The food is delicious and you can drink the water from the tap. English is the spoken language, and Barbados is known for the warmest and friendliest natives in all the Caribbean.
A total of 22 seminar hours will be offered. The first speaker is William Fortney, DVM. He will lecture on Canine and Feline Geriatrics and Pediatrics. Dr. Fortney is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Medicine, Small Animal Medicine Internist, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. The second lecturer is Lisa Radosta, DVM, DACVB, Veterinary Behaviorist, Florida Veterinary Behavior Service, Royal Palm Beach, Florida. She will speak on Clinically-Oriented Animal Behavior for the Modern Practice. There will also be a two-hour lecture by Larry Schuffman, MSFS, CFP on "What Do We Do Now?", dealing with how to manage our finances in a time of financial uncertainty.
Course registration is $295 for PVMA member veterinarians, and also for veterinary technicians, recent graduates, and working spouses. Registration is $495 for those not registered with the association.
To register or if you have questions regarding the seminar vacation, contact Dr. Ted Robinson at 215.357.6820 or fandr@voicenet.com.
